Why should market access to customers for drug companies be different than that for others? Pharma co’s are already regulated as to the claims they can make. Who is going to let us know about treatment options and distinctions – since doctors spend less than 10 minutes with us now thanks to the health insurance industry? We get our drugs in bulk by mail from benefits managers whose interests are in cheapest, one-size-fits-all treatments. If we ban drug ads should we ban say lawyer or health insurance consumer marketing too?
