The Saturday morning after, this program is not available for listening. Is the CIA editing NPR? Conspiracy? I think so! Hedges is THE an american hero, the one our culture does want. Go Chris! And thank you for having him on.

I was disappointed with Chris Hedges' analysis which dresses itself as left-progressive but actually supports status quo prejudices.

Rather than rejoicing that repressed people are rebelling en masse against their autocratic governments (which are in essence little different from our own) he, who routinely calls for Americans to rebel against our own criminal government, stubbornly promoted a meme that we should fear a rise and sweep of Islamic fundamentalism.

What is his purpose in that, if not to bolster myths that have been used to blind Americans to who their true enemies are?

I was pleased to discover that many listeners, and Chris Toensing (guardedly), rejected Hedges' propaganda.
