What do you think of President Obama's performance so far?

On the next Your Call we'll get your reaction to the Obama administration's record. A number of high-profile progressives sent a public letter to members of the "Establishment Left," referring to the Obama administration as "an implacable enemy of reform" and calling for the re-ignition of a true progressive movement. How do you explain Obama's moves on tax cuts, healthcare, and the environment? Join us live at 11 or send us an email at feedback@yourcallradio.org. Do you still have hopes for Obama in office? It's Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guests:
Dahr Jamail, independent journalist and author
Bill Fletcher, Jr., senior scholar with the Institute for Policy Studies
Earl Ofari Hutchinson, author, political analyst, and radio host

During the last presidential election I saw stuck onto a bike here in San Francisco a sticker that read, "Hope for Change, Prepare to be Disappointed". After what progressives collectively viewed as a disasterous Bush administation, many of us did have high hopes for Obama. But, as Matt Gonzalez says in his letter to members of the 'Establishment Left', Obama has continued along with the same corporate bedsharing, tax-cuts, and proxy wars that drain resources from the American people and continue to create unfavorable sentiment in the global community towards America's foreign policies.
Strong voices, young and old, must clear the lump in their throats, and, by shouting eloquently, shine lights on the injustices that the Obama administration is perpetuating.
Sad thing is though, come the next election if he's not re-elected, then a conservative teabagger might replace him...and who knows what apathy and cynicism that might provoke from the 'Establishment Left'?!
