Please ask Riya to =use her words=.
Please describe more concretely what is happening where she is.
She is on the scene.
"the crowd is getting restless" repeated several times is not informative.

For real time reporting Riya did fine, given what she was covering, another stylized student protest and well-practiced UC cop response.

That didn't work. If you have a story that you have to report on, go report it. The value of the the Friday Media Roundtable is that is is a retrospective of the past week (or so). Leave breaking news to Twitter, CNN, etc.

I hate Twitter as a phenomenon, but it actually, works pretty well in these kind of situations. If you look at what Riya was saying in her real time reporting of the UCB protest kabuki dance it would have been pretty good on Twitter. But it was a strong negative here.

I feel sorry for the Pakistani reporter that had to stay up an extra half-hour for that.
