Celebrate May 28, anniversary of 19 year old Mathias Rusts famous flight where he landed his rented Cessna in Red Square in 1987. The stunt enabled Soviet President Michael Gorbachev to fire many of the conservative opponents to Glasnost and Peristroica which in turn lead to the agreement with the US to eliminate medium range nuclear weapons. The resultant liberalization of the Soviet Union ultimately brought an end to the cold war one year later.
