  1. I caught the last 20 min. of this show about the performing arts and theater in the Bay Area. Kudos to you all for the topic and programming.
I wanted to call in but was in the car, en route, running late.

I am co-founder and co-director of Circus Bella along with Abigail Munn. We are a two-year old company. Circus Bella
is an open air, one-ring circus featuring high level acts set to original live music led by composer and musician Rob Reich.
Our principal project since our inception has been to bring Free circus to neighborhoods in the Bay Area - in the wake left
by the Pickle Family Circus and Make*A*Circus!

I mention our company along with other groups such as Womens Will, the SF Mime Troupe, and the handful of other
local theater companies who dare to bring their vision and high level of performance to people at no charge - as so essential
in these times of economic crisis. Though the reports say the economy is on an up-swing, we won't feel it for some time
as working families, individuals, arts funding institutions and producers are still bearing the impact of the past few years.

In spite of the challenges, we press on with our work along with the others because, like one of your callers or guests mentioned,
it is the arts that maintains our spirit and humanity. And we are committed to doing our part to give cause for people to congregate,
gasp, laugh, and share in with the journey of the individual artist.

Thank you again for your show today - it gave me a nice boost to remember why we do it.

Keep your eyes out for us next spring for our 2010 Circus in the Parks tour. www.circusbella.com

  2. Check out El Teatro Campesino < www.elteatrocampesino.com > in San Juan Bautista. I highly recommend their productions. Enjoy!
