What is the International Community doing to help the people of Gaza? On the next Your Call, we'll take a look at the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency has warned that its warehouses in Gaza will be totally empty in two or three days if Israel does not open the crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian supplies. Eighty percent of the population depends on humanitarian aid. What is daily life like for people in Gaza? Who is helping? And who has access to Gaza? It's Your Call, with Rose Aguilar and you.
Guests: Paul LaRudee, the Northern California head of the International Solidarity Movement
Richard Falk, the UN Special Rapporteur for human rights to the Palestinian Occupied territories
Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, Irish Nobel Peace laureate and co-founder of the Community of Peace People
Karen Abu Zayed, the commissioner general of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Gaza

Thank you for breaking the code of silence about the complicity of this administration in supporting the genocide of the Israelis in Gaza.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI got to listen to part of the show. It made wonder if the people calling in the show even know the history of the middle east. The people of that region were getting along before Europe decided to get involved and move people from there lands. I listen to your callers and wonder why are they so opposed to people having electricity, clean water, food and medical care. Its crazy!I heard a lady talk about why can't the other country's in that region take in the refugees. My response to that is why should they ! They already have a home. I listen to Americans call in and they have this attitude that just because a couple of people shoot rockets and smuggles its ok to punish everyone which just sounds wrong. I would love to her a show on how the Anglo Eastern European Jews came to be. Because the first Jews were did not look like the Jews that are in power in the middle east. I would like to know why does the world think that its is so important to kill people for the survival of another. I would like to hear guest and host on the show, that are not afraid of calling the callers out on their misinformation. I would like to hear from people that are pro Israel that have actually spent time in these ghettos call in and say "this is fair" I would like to her Rose be more aggressive. This is one of the main reason why i stop listening to the program after Laura Flanders moved. The host seem to be scared to get in the mix .I would also like to her more women and people of color call in on the show. It always sound like the show has a lot of people from Berkeley, Marin or SF calling in. They sound kind of full of them selfs
Your program on Gaza was a good example of your "fairnes" to callers;while a fascist jewish women was allowed to give a lecture in defense of the criminal Jewish State, the Palestinian Bishara was squeezed against the clock to prevent him from making a coherent point, this added to the fact that you arranged a field of guests, probably none of them Palestinian, who spent the hour apologizing for Hamas' "violence".
ReplyDeleteShameful!!!
